Benefits
Information enters a company in a variety of different ways (fax, paper, scanned from MFP devices, etc.). Paper is already captured through the scanning process with Capture. But what happens to other documents already in electronic form? To become part of a business process they are usually either entered manually (printed and scanned!) or manually imported into Capture. Both processes are time consuming and create bottlenecks in an otherwise automated process.
ImageTech's Import Service automates the process of importing documents from folders. Faxes, documents scanned at MFP devices or desktop scanners and other documents sent to network folders can be automatically imported into Capture for processing. Import Service will “watch” the designated folder (and sub-folders) utilizing a configurable poling interval to bring documents into Tungsten. Any type of document imported from different sub-folders can be mapped to different batch classes providing a flexible automation tool that is seamlessly integrated with Capture.
