Quality Assessment Service Overview

Quality Assessment Service allows you to automatically evaluate the quality of incoming scans of documents. At the same time, the developed client module (both for Transformation Validation and for the AP Essentials Verify module) allows the operator to leave a comment with its own quality assessment.

Features

Companies receive a lot of scans of printed documents (invoices, acts, contracts, etc.) from various sources (contractors or scanning operators). It is necessary to improve the scans provided to improve the quality of electronic archive management.

The quality of scans can be measured according to various criteria - DPI, noise, OCR accuracy and visual evaluation of scan quality by the operator.

By default, the statistics collected by Capture/Transformation and ReadSoft Invoices products will show you the number of edits done by the validation operator and determine if the recognition templates used in the solution match the incoming document scans. Unfortunately, the evaluation of the quality of scans is not measured this way.

The collected statistics can be used to identify the most problematic sources of documents. The list of sources will allow the department management to take steps to improve the quality of the scans provided.

The service can be added to the standard Capture/Transformation processing workflow using our Custom Module. Integration into ReadSoft Invoices is performed using the standard Plugin mechanism.

Benefits

The service is supplied with pre-configured evaluation mechanisms for the following parameters: DPI, noise and OCR accuracy. It can also be extended with custom evaluation modules developed as .NET assemblies.
